Not-Fake-Fortune-Teller - Vanishing Cabinet - 10-04-2025 ![]() Music drifted across the grounds, creating a fun, festive atmosphere for the annual Spring Carnival. Laughter, cheers, and the splashes from the dunk tank mixed with the good natured groans of the now-drenched teachers, all adding to the lively ambiance. The rides drew quite a crowd, many students having never seen anything like them before. The sights, sounds, and smells of the carnival assaulted the senses as you walked through the grounds. Savory treats and sugary snacks competed with the distinct smell of the animal petting zoo to create a sensory experience unlike any other. Not necessarily in a good way.. Students dashed between the booths, cotton candy in hand, playing games, riding the attractions, and simply enjoying the perfect spring day with their friends. At the end of the line of stalls sat an unassuming tent draped in bold red and white stripes. A sign that read "Fortune Teller" led passersby to believe that a true Seer with powerful Divination skills waited inside. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Stepping inside, one found a small, red-haired fourth-year student seated at a table, ready to reveal the future. Unfortunately for all those that chose to participate, she had little to no real divination abilities, and she was definitely not a real fortune teller. That being said, she absolutely loved the look of the tarot cards and was determined to do her very best to decipher their mysterious clues. Inside the tent, the space was dark, lit only by the soft glow of candles. The walls were draped with tapestries, and the floor held cushy chairs, soft linens, and pillows in varying shades of jewel tones, making it a cozy spot to supposedly find out one's future. As patrons entered the tent, they were greeted by a smiling Ginger and asked to take a seat and "pick a card, any card." The Prefect in charge of this area is Matilda Nordstrom. ((OOC: Please, come in and take a seat! This will be short posts, to keep things moving. Please post a separate thread to start your journey into the unknown.)) |
