Reading | Benji - Benji Laurence - 10-15-2025 "Hey Ging," Benji said, dropping down on the cushioned stool across from his best friend, a lollipop stick hanging out the corner of his mouth. His eyes took in the strange decor, noting it looked quite similar to the Divination classroom except...more fun? Was that the word he was looking for? Definitely darker in any case. The boy could barely see. "You reading the cards with your fingers?" he asked, grinning from ear to ear wondering how in the world the girl was seeing anything, but maybe he just had poorer eyesight than she did. "I heard about that you know. Blind people are something. Read with their fingers. It'd be weird to be a wizard and blind, yeah? How would you know who or what you're casting at? Try to duel and turn someone into a rubbish bin lid." He was rambling, as usual. "Anyway," he said, sucking on the treat loudly. He pointed to the center card. "That one. Tell me all the good things, Ging. I'm not in the mood to be depressed." RE: Reading | Benji - Matilda Nordstrom - 10-15-2025 Planning out the Prefect Carnival had honestly been a lot of fun. It helped that all of her friends were also Prefects for their houses. Sitting around coming up with ideas had been more of a hangout session than a job. That was, until it actually came to executing the carnival. Tilly couldn’t remember who had come up with the Fortune Teller idea, but here she was. Sitting in a dark tent, tarot cards shuffled and fanned out in front of her on the table, waiting to divulge the future to her vict… friends. Playing with names for her attraction, she scribbled ideas while waiting for someone to enter the tent. Madam Matilda’s Tent of Truth The Tilda Tent of Tomorrow... Maybe The Maybe should be underlined and written with red ink. Matilda Nordstrom was in no way a seer or fortune teller. This was supposed to be fun, a good laugh. As the tent flaps fluttered open and the boy sat down with a thud, she knew it would absolutely be entertaining. "Hey Ging," Tilly smiled. Of course her first subject was Benji. She would have it no other way. Not only would this be fun, but she could absolutely mess with him. “Hello Benji, Welcome to Matilda’s tent of Magic and Mystery. Hmmm, that one's not so bad. I was also toying with Tild’s Tent of Tomorrow. Ok. Pick a card, lets see what your future has in store for you." "That one. Tell me all the good things, Ging. I'm not in the mood to be depressed." Looking at the card, Tilly had some deciphering to do. The Page of Wands. It was a guy, dressed in some very posh boots and a snazzy looking hat. He was holding a pole and honestly looked very stylish. Tilly consulted her book quickly, seeing what it said about this particular card. Nope… She liked hers better. “Ok, well. Great card. I honestly really love this for you.” Positioning it in front of Benji she worked through all the great information she wanted to share. “Well obviously this is you in the future. Bold choice on the super shorty shorts. I’d start working on those leg muscles ASAP. The boots are a great addition, so I think this is saying that your fashion sense is going to shift and become more flamboyant. I can’t wait for Rae to see. The book says you will have an explosion of creativity, optimism and curiosity. So, there ya go. Nothing depressing. At all. Any questions? Is there a specific question you have? If so, think about it really hard and pick another card.” ![]() ((OOC: My post was way longer than anticipated. Feel free to still keep it short. If you would like to learn about something specific, think hard and Pic another card!)) |
