Classroom Instruction
Professor Emil Roan — Slytherin Head of House

Welcome to Potions
This semester, we'll be looking to bridge the gap between what you should have been learning throughout your time at Hogwarts and what you've actually learned. Disruptions to your education, while not the student's fault, will not excuse your lack of knowledge in the real world. Although our classroom will be mixed, the higher year students will be given a much heavier curriculum and expected to brew at a much more advanced level or at least make up the difference. The lower level students will be given a proper introduction to potions, solidifying their shakey foundation for future studies. All students will be challenged. Expect nothing less if you plan to pass potions.

Classroom Management
⚗ Students are free to choose their stations, but will only be allowed to partner up with students of their year.

⚗ Every student will have their materials ready and their stations prepped before the class begins.

⚗ No matter how basic the brew or how harmless the ingredients, every single action will be taken with care and respect.

⚗ Anyone found in violation of these rules will be sent out of the classroom. Penalties will be applied depending upon the severity of the infraction.

OOC Assessment
⚗ Grades will depend on the interaction of your student with the class. While points are given for simply participating (and observing the site-wide 4x4x4) top scores will be applied to your student if you interact with the lesson, teacher, and/or your students. Your child's personality will not factor into the grading (feel free to be the goody two-shoes, the 1920's emo punk who's too cool for school, and everything in between), but integrating the lesson into your writing is key for a top score.

Extra Credit
⚗ There will be opportunity to earn extra credit in the semester. It will be open to all students as well as announced for transparency. The rules will be updated whenever needed, and all updates relating to EC (Extra Credit) and classes will be announced on the Discord and site.
