As the wall came closer and closer, Matilda was sure that her spell had missed its mark. And then the wall blew away just enough for them to sneak through. Thank Heavens! Once on the other side, she expected to see the grounds of Hogwarts, but it wasn’t that at all.
The rolling green hills and meadows were beautiful. Much the same as her childhood home, with the exception of the magical creatures dotting the landscape. The Hippogryff soared around the beautiful fields, causing Matilda to tighten her grip even more.
Thankfully the creature was adept at flight, and their rewarding flight was very uneventful. Dare she say, it was actually fun. Not that she would ever admit that to anyone. Flying was not her thing and if one more person tried to sway her onto a broom for Quidditch she would scream. It was a pleasant year without having to worry about the sport to be honest.
Coming to a stop on the area around the tower they had just broken out of, Tilly noticed the Professor waiting there, clipboard in hand. “Hello Professor.” She said, although he apparently wasn’t in the mood for a conversation.
Taking his nod as a sign that she was free to go, Tilly walked towards the door with the Exit sign. As she entered into a room with more of her friends watching the events unfold, she decided to head out to the greenhouses to spend some time. Alone. Sometimes it was nice to just sit in the quiet.
