Library Assistant Sign-Ups
THE GIST:
This term, we will be reintroducing the Library Assistant role for all those who wish to help take a load off the librarian's shoulders. This role will be responsible for:
- Book Check-Outs/Returns
- Sorting & Cataloging Incoming Books
- Library Organization
- Gum Removal From Beneath Tables
- Assisting Students in Find Texts
- Bauble Management
- Other Duties As Assigned
Overall, Julia is looking for responsible and not gremlin-behavior to make her days a little easier and less stressful.
In addition, there will be two spots available this term for the roles of Head Assistant! Those selected will be provided additional duties and will be expected to take on a core visible role within the library. These roles will be delegated at the discretion of the Librarian, but activity will be taken into consideration. This role will be responsible for all duties listed above in addition to:
- Reviewing/Approving/Denying Restricted Access Request Forms
- Library Patrols & Rule Enforcement
- Delegation of Duties & Assignments to Library Assistants
- Light Management When the Librarian is Unavailable
In order to pass Library Assistant, each enrolled character must complete a minimum of two threads, actively performing their duties, and participate in the group thread mid-term that Julia will host for all of her assistants (this will be a one-shot). These two threads must meet the site requirement of 3x4x4.
In order to pass Head Assistant, each enrolled character must complete a minimum of three threads, actively performing their duties, and participate in the group thread mid-term that Julia will host for all of her assistants (this will be a one-shot). These two threads must meet the site requirement of 3x4x4.
*Note: If a Head Assistant does not pass the minimum requirement of their role, they will not be given a passing score for Library Assistant in general. This is to discourage singing up for a limited position and dropping it.
Sign ups for Library Assistant will be ongoing throughout term.
Sign ups for Head Assistant will close on September 5th, OOC. HAs will be contacted via PM shortly after.

INCENTIVES:
Aside from amazing threads and the opportunity to hang out in the Restricted Section unsupervised, every character that passes Library Assistant is eligible to claim [1ʛ] at the end of term. Every character that passes Head Assistant is eligible to claim [2ʛ] at the end of term.
