Name: Dorian Montreaux Date of Birth: February 2, 1883 Blood Type: Pureblood Residence: 9 Hawthorn Hollow, Somerset Levels
Expertise / Career History:
After graduating from Hogwarts, I spent two years apprenticing under a healer who is also from the area of my childhood back in France. During this time, I learned herbal remedies, simple healing magic, and patient care.
At the end of the apprenticeship, I earned myself a position as a trainee healer at St. Mungo’s Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries. I specialised in trauma care, moving fully into the trauma and emergency ward at the end of my training. There, I worked for six years until being drafted for the war.
At that time, I worked as a military medic, healing magical and Muggle alike. It gave me the experience of working in high-pressure, high-stakes situations that required rapid response and a level head.
When the war ended and the dust settled, I made my bid for Chief of Staff, intending to fill the gap left behind by a fallen comrade.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
I have had a lot of contact with people from a different side of the wizarding world, ones others would rather not think about so long as they are still healthy, and ones who carry some of the greatest suffering. I believe this makes me uniquely capable of representing, if no one else, the infirm and some of the most vulnerable among us.
Name: Ruby Haswell Date of Birth: 6 April 1884 Blood Type: Pureblood Residence: 6 1/2 Hallowspire Crescent
Expertise / Career History:
Ruby graduated from Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1893 and began her career at the Ministry of Magic that summer. In the Department of Magical Law Enforcement, she trained as an Auror. While in the MLE department for eight years, she had been credited with saving the lives of both fellow Aurors and innocent bystanders during an investigation into a blood-curse smuggling ring. She excelled in cases that required quick judgement and strong defensive magic, and was known to be brave but pragmatic.
Ruby then transitioned into the Department of International Magical Cooperation as a Special Liason, where she bridged the gap between rival factions and quickly became the face of the Haswell family.
Since her father deemed her older brother and younger sister unfit to be any sort of representative for the family, when he retired he suggested that she take the role for the family.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
Ruby is well-known in the wizarding world to be level-headed and unbiased in her opinions, and is highly recommended by her father.

She graduated with a master's degree and top marks yet again at the age of 21.
Afterwards she immediately found work with the Ministry of Magic. She first started out in smaller positions of administrative nature such as office management, correspondence, record maintenance and budgeting for various Departments. In over ten years of dedicated work, Harper has climbed her way up the ranks into higher positions until she found her way to the Department of Magical Affairs as a Public Relations Official. Here she was active for four years, managing campaigns, organizing events, maintaining relationships with reporters of the Daily Prophet and writing press releases and articles. In August of 1920 she acceded the position of personal secretary to the Minister.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:

This gives her the ability to see any given situation from multiple angles and viewpoints, spotting advantages and disadvantages for various layers of society and taking those into account through the lens of objectivity.
Name: Mary Holloway Date of Birth: 23 April 1881 Blood Type: Pureblood (new money) Residence: Rookery Hall
Expertise / Career History:
Mary Holloway's rise to prominence as a barrister in the wizarding community was evidence of her distinct vision and tenacity. Under her father's tutelage at his prestigious firm, Cavendish Law, she first received training in the traditional and esteemed area of family law, where she learned the nuances of practicing law. Although this background gave her a remarkable grasp of the law, Mary's ambition took her in a completely different direction.
In contrast to her father, who was renowned for handling wizarding family conflicts amicably and fairly, Mary became very interested in a more covert area of law: averting public scandals. Her job was to discreetly manage the affairs of powerful wizards and witches, making sure that their personal problems and transgressions were never discussed in public or featured in the Daily Prophet. This decision initially strained Mary's relationship with her father and marked a substantial break from the family tradition. He had always imagined her taking over the firm and carrying on the family's illustrious family law practice. He was concerned that her emphasis on handling scandals was a step away from the moral and open business model he had established.
Mary's career took off in spite of her father's initial disappointment. She gained notoriety for her discretion and her skill at negotiating the intricate and frequently perilous waters of high society among wizards. Quidditch players and Ministry officials were among her clientele; they all trusted her to protect their secrets. Her father began to respect and understand her decision as her success increased. He could see that although she wasn't walking in his footsteps, she was paving her own, no less remarkable, way. In the end, his pride in her accomplishments overcame his early reservations, and he realized that his daughter was contributing significantly and worthily to the wizarding world in her own unique way.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
Being nominated for the Wizengamot would demonstrate Mary Holloway's exceptional credentials and unwavering determination as a successful barrister. She gained a remarkable understanding of the complex concepts of family law from her journey, which started at Cavendish Law under her father's guidance. But Mary's drive drove her to carve out a niche for herself in a more private and intricate area: avoiding public scandals. Her professional identity and strongest defense of her candidacy for a seat on the Wizengamot were based on this specialization, which at first caused friction with her father.
Mary's outstanding discretion and ability to handle the affairs of influential wizards and witches were the foundation of her reputation. Her work focused on the delicate art of crisis management, damage control, and negotiation rather than open trials or elaborate court cases. She skillfully negotiated the perilous waters of high society, making sure that her clients' private transgressions and indiscretions—which included Quidditch players and Ministry officials—were never made public. She gained a deep understanding of the intricate power dynamics and relationships within the wizarding community as a result of this experience. The Wizengamot would benefit greatly from her ability to settle disputes amicably and quietly, particularly when handling delicate and potentially contentious matters.
Mary took a more practical stance than her father, who supported the traditional family law practice that emphasized amicable and ethical resolution. She understood that not every issue was best resolved in the spotlight. Her work demonstrated a forward-thinking perspective on justice, one that balanced the need for accountability with the preservation of order and reputation within the community. She had demonstrated her ability to manage delicate situations with grace, preventing needless drama and making sure that justice was done in its own quiet way. The Wizengamot, which frequently handled cases that called for a delicate touch rather than a heavy hand, would benefit from this modern perspective, which would offer a necessary and new point of view.
She would be a particularly well-rounded candidate because of her experience avoiding scandals and her background in family law. Although she was aware of the fundamentals of wizarding law, she also understood that discretion and flexibility were necessary in a world that was constantly changing. Her chosen path was strongly supported by her father's eventual pride in her achievements, which demonstrated her deservingness. Mary's career proved that she was not only a skilled attorney but also a visionary who could make a meaningful and respectable contribution to the wizarding community in her own special way. She was the perfect choice to infuse the Wizengamot with a combination of reverence for tradition and a sharp awareness of contemporary sensibilities.
Name: Etain Mómhar Battersea Date of Birth: June 21, 1880 Blood Type: Pureblood Residence: Oxfordshire, England
Expertise / Career History: (Minimum 150 words)
Etain has served in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement as an auror for over two decades. In her time, her duties have included special cases and observation. With respect to special cases, Etain largely concentrates on those requiring close investigatory attention, thus stretching her abilities to the limits. For her, this kind of process is enjoyable, as the woman likes to be as thorough as possible, making sure whatever, wherever, or whoever was the target is investigated—their guilt or innocence weighed in the balance beforehand.
With regard to special cases, for all her calm and serene appearance, Etain is a woman of danger. She has no issue dealing punishment upon the wicked, even if the result is lethal. Her name is synonymous with a curse, muttered with vitriol within the prison of Azkaban.
With respect to the observational duties, Etain has visited over a dozen or more countries, studying their laws and protocols—how they do things. This travelling, all the while continuing her research into cold, obscure, or dangerous travel, has given her plenty of experience with regard to the principles of justice.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
Arbitrium vincit omnia. Etain doesn’t care about age, gender, disability, or socioeconomic status. Judgement conquers all. No one is above the law, and no one can escape judgment. This doesn’t make her a cold, unfeeling being; she believes om the letter as much as the spirit of the law. She also believes in justice—justice for those who have been wronged, wrongly accused, and wrongly convicted. Etain values the principles of judgement, of justice, and of course, the truth.
It is for all of this that Etain believes herself a good candidate for a position in the Wizengamot.
“Let your plans be dark and impenetrable as night, and when you move, fall like a thunderbolt.” ~ Sun Tzu, The Art of War
Name: Victor Carmichael Date of Birth: 17.04.1891 Blood Type: Pureblood. Residence: London, England.
Expertise / Career History:
My main expertise is in the realm of business. I have spent my recent years investing in and overseeing an entertainment venture. This has allowed me to gain experience in finance, regulation, and resolution management. People with large sums of money are attracted to my establishment. It is my responsibility to ensure things remain lawful, orderly, and fair while mediating conflicts that inevitably arise in such an environment. Left unmanaged, such situations tend to spiral into legal complications and negative impact on public confidence.
Similarly, because of my dealings with desperate people, I have gained a deep understanding of motives such as fear and pride. Countless times patterns emerged where people at the top of the world lose everything in a single moment, and people at the bottom miss what could save their lives.
In addition to my business ventures, my other prior experience involves working as a reporter for the Daily Prophet. This role sharpened my ability to investigate claims, assess the reliability of sources, and draw accurate conclusions from incomplete or conflicting information. It taught me ways to isolate what things were relevant.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
As a businessman, I bring a civilian and financial perspective that is often underrepresented in legal proceedings. I have the benefit of not being related to the ministry at all, giving me a more unbiased opinion. My professional background requires me to weigh risk, intent, and consequence carefully - skills that translate directly to fair and measured judgment. I am accustomed to resolving disputes calmly, balancing competing interests, and de-escalating conflict before it worsens.
In Wizengamot trials, this allows me to understand both the concerns of the prosecution and the circumstances of the defendant. My goal is not only to uphold the law, but to ensure that justice is delivered with reason, restraint, and an understanding of real-world impact.
Name: Galen MacLean Date of Birth: 5 January 1885 Blood Type: Pureblood Residence: Oxford, England

Education is my life; after attending Hogwarts, I studied at Sandhurst Military Academy. I studied both Magical International Education and Magical Anthropology and graduated at the top of my class. I then served in the army for a number of years before returning to Sandhurst to teach Anthropology. When the War began, I served on the front line as a Captain. After the war, I returned to teaching. I now professor at Oxford University in Magical Anthropology.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?:
The Colonol recently retired from the Wizengamot, and with the upcoming trials focused on Hogwarts, he decided that I would be the best representative for the MacLean clan. With my professional experience in anthropology, I will be able to make my opinions based on what is truly the best action, without any preconceived thoughts on the matter.
Name: Bernadette Hawthorn Date of Birth: 15 May 1885 Blood Type: Pureblood Residence: Apartment above her Wand Shop.
Expertise / Career History:
The only member of the Hawthorn family left, the role of Wizengamot member fell to Bernadette. She both loved and hated the role. Bernie, a sweet, quirky lady, loved the good and hated the bad. Always thinking outside the box, she was good at seeing things others might not. It was part of her job, finding the perfect wand. Seeing in people what others might overlook. This made her a valuable member of the Wizengamot, the ability to see beyond the facade.
After leaving Beauxbatons, Bernie went on to travel the world studying her one true love, wand lore. It was an ancient magic, one not often discussed or taught. Bernie interned with three different wand makers, none were “the greats,” because honestly they were annoying and ‘exclusive,’ but that doesn’t mean she didn’t learn.
With her parents gone and nothing else to focus on she made it her life’s mission to become one of the greatest wand makers of her age. She dreamt of making the best wands with the rarest ingredients and taking on interns as they came looking for help. She would help those that wanted help and teach those that wanted to learn. Wand Making didn’t have to be so secretive.
After interning with wand makers from Japan, Switzerland, New York City, Sweden and Russia, Bernie took the things she learned and began to create. Her first wands were decidedly horrible. Exploding more than anything else, but as she perfected her technique and built her skill, the wands she was producing were better quality and sought after.
At the young age of 35, Bernie opened her shop, Elder and Ash in famed Diagon Alley. Her store began to see more and more students, her wands were tested and loved by those who purchased and the word began to spread that Bernie Hawthorn was making amazon wands. She prided herself on good quality woods, rare and common as well as core’s that some wand makers were too nervous to handle. With the respect that the ingredients deserved, Bernie had learned to make some of the rarest wand combinations in Europe.
Why Would You Be A Good Candidate For the Wizengamot?: Bernie is an interesting sort, able to see all sides for what they are. She isn't swayed by blood status or money and is able to think outside the box in most situations. As a wand maker and shop owner, she is skilled at looking at someone and seeing the things others don't see.
