Rules & Grading
IC Rules:
• Be on time
• Keep disruptive antics to a minimum or preferably not at all.
• If someone doesn’t make sense or sounds confusing, speak up, and I will endeavor to explain it better.
• As with the above, if you have a question, ask it.
• Should a debate for whatever reason begin, attack the argument, not the person. Raise your words, not your voice. Should you fail in this endeavor, the debate ends automatically.
OOC Rules:
• Do not deviate from the site rules and rating.
• If you have any issues—be they minor or major—don’t hesitate to contact me.
Grading:
• The minimum number of points needed is 20.
• Points garnered in a Class Session are based on a combination of class participation and post quality.
• Any extra credit is there to get you over the 20-point threshold.
• To qualify for Honor Roll, you must have participated in all three classes. Extra Credit will go toward your overall grade, but will not be used to determine the Honor Roll list.
Extra Credit (Optional)
Option 1: Journal
• You have two options:
- 10 short posts, 150 words minimum
- 4 long posts, 300-500 word minimum
Option 2: A thread with the Professor or Fellow Classmates
• Topic must relate to the subject of study
• You have two options
- Two threads
- 4 substantial posts
Option 3: Transfiguration Essay
• Free rein on topic
• It must pertain to the subject at hand.
• Minimum Word Count: 300
