Late January
To say Bear was the easily distracted would be an understatement. If Hogwarts had a distractibility competition based on waving books in front of people he’d be the first loser. Which made it all the more curious to him why he’d be asked to put books away. Though he took the returned book cart and pushed it down the aisles putting books away. Just like he always did when asked as he didn’t really have an objective when he came to the library today. His classes bored him for the most part, and he’d already read every book he could find on clocks and timepieces he could find. Though perhaps the book cart would lead him to a hidden one he’d missed somewhere. There was enough disorganization in the library it was possible.
Naturally he took breaks sitting on tables skimming the occasional book. Some books even found themselves moving from the top to the bottom of the cart. With the bottom being the ones he planned to check out. Furthermore, when he put books away sometimes the same happened with the books on the cart.
He was already happily two hours into a job that should have taken fifteen minutes.
Then he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A book going through the air flapping was if it had wings. Blinking he said surprised “ Pages are for turning not to give books wings! “ Where were the baubles when you needed them. Though his only focus was on the flying book. Then he ran to get under the book as it continued to flap in the air and he heard laughter from a few stacks over. Laugher that was followed by the book falling from the air into his arms.
He briefly saw someone on top of the stack before they climbed down. Though in typical Bear fashion he was more interested in the book than the person who made it fly.
