There were very few places that Tilly loved more than the castle greenhouse. And those few spots also had something to do with plants. If she could talk the powers that be into letting her have a small room just off the greenhouse, instead of the Gryffindor common room, she would jump at the chance.

Today she wasn’t here for fun, but work. Although, the work was still fun to the resident plant girl. Typically Tilly worked in the Hospital Wing greenhouse, but it was running low on a few plants, so she was in the castle greenhouse to restock. When she was gathering a large amount of ingredients, many times she would go to the castle greenhouse, since there was a larger amount of plants to harvest from.

Greenhouse #4 was specifically used for Hospital Wing overflow. Anything found in the wing was also in #4, just in case they needed more plants than the wing could hold. On today’s list, Tilly was harvesting leaves and roots from various plants that would later be dried for potions and teas.

Her list included:

• Betony, used for headaches and anxiety
  
• Bay, used for digestion
  
• Caraway, used for digestion
  
• Coriander, used for digestion
  
• Vervain, used to treat nervous conditions and insomnia.
  
• Peppermint, used to relieve headaches, nausea, and digestive issues.
  
• Yarrow, used to stop bleeding and reduce fevers.
  
• Elderberry, used to help break fever.
  
• Sage, used to help bring down fevers
  

Once all the items are harvested, she will use the dumbwaiter to get the plants to the hospital wing and then dried before making them into tea. It was a fun pet project she had been working on since the magic snafu in the wing where no magic worked correctly. For a brief time, her tea was used for upset stomach, digestive issues, insomnia and fevers. Knowing that she could help, in her own way, made her quite happy.

As she was snipping off the peppermint leaves, she heard the creak of the door opening. Turning around, she was surprised to see Kaede, a 6th year Snake. They had classes together of course, but past that, they had never really talked. “Hi, is there something I can help you with?”
