Joining In
You’re accepted. Here’s how to start writing.
Welcome to the shadows! Here's how scenes, plots and the rest of the site's magic work.
Starting a Scene
Start a thread in any in-character forum and fill in the Scene Tracker: who's in it, the date, and where it happens. Mark it Open if anyone is welcome to join.Scenes in the menu bar shows every scene you're in. Your Turn means someone is waiting on your post.
Plots
Bigger storylines can be tied to a plot. Plots must be approved by staff before they show up for everyone. You can see what's happening, and what's happened, in the Plot Tracker. All IC events (more than 5 characters in a thread) and clubs need admin approval.
Galleons & the Whomping Willow
You earn galleons (ʛ) with your activity on site, and spend them at the end of each term in the Whomping Willow Exchange. If you do not request a WWE, you will not be able to use magic.Staying in Touch
- Discord Where most of the chatter happens.
- Helpdesk Questions for staff. Only staff will see what you post here.
- Member Registry Find writers and their characters.
- Staff Registry Who's running this place.
